For this series, I’ve gone back to my artistic roots. I studied sculpture in college, figurative work, fired clay. But these new sculptures (2019––2021) are all made from roots and branches and objects from our recent house construction: pine wall studs and cedar shingles. In many cases, I’ve left my fasteners––screws and wires–– visible, to show my process.
Many of these were in “A House for the Moon” alongside prints and paintings by Tatiana Flis, at Fountain Street during the month of September, 2021. https://www.fsfaboston.com/a-house-for-the-moon
